Well I didn't tell anyone at the time but its a year ago today that my little cat Vivienne died.
She was the most human of cats and slept in a tiny suitcase on my desk.
I know this is a sad post but I just wanted Vivienne to be remembered and there is something permanent about putting something on the Internet...
Most cats are 'cat' cats but every now and then you get a cat that is like a human....if you have a cat like this then you will know what I mean.
Burying Vivienne was the saddest thing I have ever experienced.
Here's a few shots of my workroom and a large hare Ive almost finished working on....
The Hare ultimately is staying with me but will be going on a few journeys around Easter....
Hes been the biggest and probably the most challenging soft sculpture I have made so far. He really is very large and very heavy...I don't think I could make anything much bigger than this..!!
In the image are a few of the other large pieces Ive done a swan and a spider,I love to make things really big and playing with scale.
The Hare has a small cupboard set in his chest which I think will be holding a small fake nest with an egg...I just have to finish the catch on the door and then he will be all done..
Hes filled solidly with stuffing so you can imagine how long this took me and how heavy he is,hes covered in snipped rags and finished with tea stains, acyclic washes and tons of hand stitched details.

I know I should be writing something really creative about last year and all the things that I'm looking forward to this year.......When the truth is...
1. I'm finding it hard to start any sort of diet when I keep finding 'selection box's all over the house.
2. I officially went back to work (sewing) yesterday and have no attention span...other than animals doing funny things on You tube.
3. Sid and Nancy now 'live' in boxes on my worktable....and have left no room for me...
